Masaman shocked and surprised me this evening, by not budging from his perch as he supped on a peanut and I clumsily approached the tree without knowing he was there until the last minute. I stopped short and carefully backed away… went inside the house, ran down the hall for my camera, and stealthily went back out to the tree. He let me get about four feet away from him to take these shots… before one of his litter mates (I have counted three of them so far, of which Masaman is by far the tiniest) saw me and alerted him to run. I took many photos… but his little body was just aquiver with delight at eating something so tasty, so the focus was off on many of them. The few times he was still, I was able to get decent shots in. One of his litter mates (Roon) is fully furred. Another one is sporting a bit of a ‘mohawk’ (Mo) stripe of fur up his back… and poor Masaman is still awaiting shipment of his fur coat. I saw their Mom today, too… she is a small lady, but very furry and very cute. All shots of her were blurred beyond use, as she was very active and quite busy and I was trying to shoot through the window screen.
