This usually demure, gorgeous little female Cardinal had just been sitting in a tree with her ‘husband’, when he suddenly became cranky and squawked and lunged at her. I saw the whole thing, and merely as a bystander, I can tell you that she did nothing to raise his ire.
Moments later, as if in an act of misdirected irritation with her man, she defiantly crapped on the wing of the statue bird that is attached to the birdbath at the Rooftop Cafe. Immediately after she does this, she seems to be looking at her victim as if to say, ‘Sorry, that was meant for my husband…he’s being a bit of a turd himself, today’….
