Laurie Vaughn

I’ve been working as a full time studio artist, since 1998, painting figurative expressionist works influenced by the CoBrA art movement icons. My non-representational paintings are derivative of the New York School genre of abstract expressionism, in the “action painting” mode. I like to incorporate imagery from World Culture, into my outsider art, visionary art, art brut or raw art creations. I evolved into an abstract expressionist painter, from a background encompassing journalism and photography. I have released some vintage candid shots for this site.
