i can see your dragon claws raking and scratching at surfaces of people
like friends falter on the demise of passions unfelt unwanted unrewarded
somewhere within the deepest desire for life
as satellites glide like beads of oil
across the painted universe
we only see the surface of what there truly is
And the seawater, salty and splashing,
stretching sand and muddy mangrove soil to the sea
sounds like a sensual surrender of souls
i want to sleep in deep dreams
as deep as the ocean is blue
as deep as the sharks come sniffing to our shore from
their darting bodies and empty eyes
some hunger searches across
i’m floating like a feather across the depths of your horizons
surfing the tips of waves watching the sunrays beam from behind clouds
the summer light the seabreeze the twist of it
you swim beneath pale stars on a cool morning
but the evenings are warm
and closed doors hide sorrows like sleep dreams
i am the lost desire i see
I am turquoise aquamarine, navy blue sea green seaweed black and tidal murky. I am those colours green and blue like
its just the breeze shaking loose the dead leaves
as i walk through the same forested time
down by the lake in the freezingness of winter
I sleep to the harmonics of waves lapping
the languid blue skies
of the summer that never ends
