The striking peaks of Kangtega 6685m and Thamserku 6608m as seen from camp at Lobuche 4910m. The mountain wind is a freezing, brisk breeze across the glacial moraine valley surrounded by famous peaks. This view mesmerises me, I’m so glad I took this shot!

It is amazing! You must travel a lot but it takes an artist to get the shots you do even with such incredible beauty…you truly make it special.

Wow Laurette, we didn’t get snow like this at this altitude. You can feel the crispness.

  • Thanks Richard. It was certainly starting to get cold at night in tents at that altitude, especially with clear skies. The snow had fallen two nights before that shot was taken :)
