From the buzzing, humid city of Kathmandu to the pristine scenery of the Himalayan Mountains, these are photographs of my trek up to the source of the Dudh Koshi River and deep into the Sagarmatha National Park to climb to where the air has less than 50% oxygen with amazing views of the Khumbu glacial valley and the Himalayas in beautiful, clear Autumn weather.

Im really green that you have been here and so want to see real mountains like that, the day climbs i do here as beautiful as they are. I love the June shot, not jsut because it’s my Bday but the wave the man is doing, i get this vision of you promting him to wave and smile:)

After spending lots of winters in NZ that was my exact sentiment – I wanted to see the ‘real’ mountains too. I’m so glad I did and I can only recommend it. It was a lifetime dream for me, glad to have it under my belt. Every day I look at my pics from there again and find a new little gem! The holy man actually just held up his hand without my asking (I suspect he’d posed for pics many times)... :)
