Photography gives me a sense of freedom. I often dream I am taking photos. There is something completely familiar about looking through a viewfinder. The world becomes a much more dynamic and interesting place. It’s that desire to see the world through my camera’s eye that draws me back to it time and again.
I love travelling to new places because with it comes an abundance of new subject matter and a renewed passion in the photographic world. When you unite your imagination with nature’s imagination, nothing is impossible!
I explore writing as much as photography. I have a manuscript in progress of my first book. Its a story about the ocean and how it inexplicably intertwines our lives and dreams.
When I’m not writing or taking photos, I also enjoy snowboarding and my recent passion is kiteboarding. The power of the wind is amazing!
Your comments on my photos and writing are most welome.

This is a little bit of self-promotion. I entered my photo Ominous in a recent comp and I’ve made the top 10 finalists. It’s for WA week, Celebrate Western Australia. / If you want to vote for me, online voting can be done here / Thanks heaps to all my ‘watchers!’ / Laurette.

It must have been a sign of a lucky day as this afternoon I have made my first sale of an extra large canvas print of my photo of Thokla Pass, Nepal (to an uknown buyer at this stage). Thank you so much to the person who bought my print. Th…
This is a little bit of a delayed reaction but thought I should add it to my journal anyway. My work Sunset Storm was featured as the avatar for Both Sides Now group for the month of January! / I’m pretty chuffed about this one, second avatar for me :)
