A case of mistaken candy cane identity

Posted 14 days ago

This shall rank as one of the most inane things I have ever done and challenge the concept of ‘limited warranty’.
In celebration of the holidays I purchased two boxes of candy canes a week ago (on sale) and have been happily partaking of them on a daily basis. I was enjoying a candy cane while reading in bed last night. In the middle of the night I woke up with the desire to consume the rest…

Signed!

I am now represented by the Catherine Edelman Gallery in Chicago. It’s a fine photo gallery established in 1987-reps Keith Carter, Olivia Parker, Michael Kenna, Joel Peter Witkin among others-(and now me). The gallery owner went to the same college I did, some years earlier. It will be nice to have a home. I started formal study when I was barely a teenager in 1984. It only took 25 years to get…

Rabbit Down Under (Part II)

Posted 5 months ago

So I have officially downloaded my e-tickets, the dates are set and I am getting organized to go.
I’m not completely assured by the e-tickets-I’d prefer ye olde paper kind as they look like something I could make up myself, but I guess that’s how it’s done now.

The last month was a game of catch-up but i am nearly caught.

I could tell the tale but I will not.
Look forward, rabbit.

As an aside...

Posted 6 months ago

There are few philosophies to which I adhere. Occam’s Razor is one, this quote is another. The field is in play at the moment.

Chronic remorse, as all the moralists are agreed, is a most undesirable sentiment. If you have behaved badly, repent, make what amends you can and address yourself to the task o…

Another brief hiatus

Posted 6 months ago

I am happy with my current project. I am looking forward to where it may lead. For no particular reason I put it aside for the week and made these strange little things.

If you find yourself with nothing else to do you can look at them.

They are here:

As for the hiatus:
I’m going to my parents for my father’s 65th birthday until this coming Tue…

On the matter of belief and the truth.

Posted 6 months ago

For the first time this year I have a project. It is humbling how lost I felt without a direction in which to shoot.
It has always been my belief that if you can photograph something – a nightmare, a fool, a folly or anything that haunts you, if you can get it on paper, in silver, then you own it.
I do not know if that is true.
But you can believe something and know it is not true.
Because…

I did it! I put a picture in my journal all by myself. (And with help from many people who bubblemailed me. :)

This is a promo I received from the Ballarat Biennale director (he was kind enough to make me the cover girl which was a pleasant surprise). It is a big festival and …

You have to kill the girl to save the girl – updated information

A little book on blurb, quite respectably printed until I find a nice art book publisher who stops sending me refusal letters.

76 pages, a range of works- some of the Devil’s Alphabet, some capriccios, a little bit of Madness. of Sorrow and the end of sorrow, and of course some Magic Tricks. it nicely illustrates where I s…
