the test (8x10)

I always shoot the same tableau when testing a new format, this being the 4th time this image has been taken. I am fond of using it both for its’ range of light and the fact that it is arranged to be the first thing I see upon waking.
I finished building my 8×10.
Let the games begin.

the test (8x10) belongs to the following groups:

DaDa Land, Medium and Large Format Film Photography, Practising the Dark Arts and Theatrical and Staged Photography

OK Lauren, you are now officially off my watchlist (just kidding). I can no longer look at the work of anyone who owns an 8×10 camera, especially one they built themselves!!!

    Just way too jealous!!!!

Have you seen the dead sexy EBONY brand view cameras, they make a loverly titanium, teak and leather (bellows) view camera. Its the first thing I wil buy when I win the lottery.

Looking forward to seeing the new work from this camera!

I’ve never seen those. If I could ever buy one I would stick with the same as my 4×5- deardorff. They fold up so small.

When Daïnn&George love a work of art THAT much they neither talk nor wrtite about it…they stare at it for hours…absorbing it…;-)
