All work 100% digital free.
Any manipulation and/or effects have been created
either in camera (occasionally) or in darkroom (usually).
I have nothing against digital-it’s remarkable technology, I just prefer to get my hands wet and am devoted to silver.
I generally shoot large format- 4×5, 5×7 or 8×10 film and contact print the negatives.
My 4×5 is a Deardorff, my 5×7 an old Burke & James and I made the 8×10 myself from a Bender kit.
My toners of choice are 2 bath sepia (which I mix from raw chemistry) and selenium in varying dilutions.
From time to time I add a little colour by hand.
I sell original gelatin silver prints and handbound books on commission.
