The Lion as King
Lions captured at the Lion and Rhino Reserve in Gauteng.
This picture conjures so much emotion in me.
It reminds me of so many relationships I have seen
where the female in subservient to the degree
of being frightened and almost cowering through life.
While the male stands tall and proud and one never knows what went on behind closed doors to bring about what is seen.
May this be a reminder to us all to stand tall and proud as females no matter what.

such a beautiful image (are they truly “white lions”?)....and yet such powerful and poignant words to ponder on…... and sadly, so true….
laureenr replied
Thanks so much Wendy. They are white lions, actually all my captures are of white lions, I didn’t see the others. This image really struck a cord in me, maybe because I was with a friend who is in this situation. Very very sad.
