These hippos weren’t very active because it is the rainy season and they don’t need to get out of the water during the day to find food, but they were still entertaining to watch as they snuggled up together and splashed water around! The oxpeckers are feeding on the parasites – in effect cleaning the hippos backs as they sleep.
