I Will Ingest the Milkweed..... by

FEATURED All Out Emotion
.
My son who has Aspergers Syndrome,
got very upset this afternoon.
He was turning red in the face and crying…
then he yelled in a very quiet voice :
“I’m going outside to eat the Milkweed !!”
.
Asperger’s Syndrome:
is an autism spectrum disorder that is characterized by significant difficulties in social interaction, along with restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and interests.
Some researchers and people with Asperger’s have advocated a shift in attitudes toward the view that it is a difference, rather than a disability that must be treated or cured.
.
.
Is Milkweed poisonous for humans to eat? :
Tall stems that ooze milky sap produce pods containing silky, hair-encased seeds. Prevalent throughout North America in dry, waste areas and along roadsides, milkweed causes staggering, rapid and weak pulse, coma and death within hours of ingestion. Sedatives, laxatives and intravenous fluids might ease symptoms.

You are a strong and beautiful mother, thank you for sharing this events and thoughts. I as a teacher have seen many children with this autism. A girl’s father introuduce me to her again after so many years after being in my sixth grade class. She always wanted to stay with me, well, she graduated and is attending college, yes, and I talked to her for a while and is a beautiful young lady now. Never give up hope, bless you for being strong and there for your child too, prayers to both of you, take good care.

Laura, this is an amazing story and verse. Many good thoughts and blessings from me to you. I know several individuals who live with Apergers Syndrome. I have hope and faith that things will in due time get better. You’re in my prayers. You did great by posting this out there to make others understand and be more aware of Aspergers Syndrome. Peace and love be with you and your family always, Lisa =)XO

Lying there the promise of re-birthing.
If I eat your wings…I will fly away my silences.
Stirring my emotions, without anyone to see it.
    There..there….changes that make no sound.
    There….there…tears that cannot flow.
Rosa (wonderful moment of intense poetry Laura…I agree that no one really can know what is sane or insane, as soon as we keep on looking at insanity with our shortsightness and lack of “imagination”)

Very powerful, Laura. Differences and with difficulties, but different is always beautiful as are imperfections. The moment we put anybody or anything in a box we have lost the meaning of life.
“Yet, taught by time, my heart has learned to glow for other’s good, and melt at other’s woe.” – Homer
My thoughts are with you, and your family, Laura:) Cat
