Awesome work, Lauren! Congratulations for being chosen as a finalist for the ND group! The colors and reflections are so beautiful. I love that you included the horizon and the dotted blurs of pink of all the flamingos far, far away! Amazing depth…this shot gives us a good idea of the vastness of this place, Well Done!!!

Was watching a documentary on flamingoes just the other day and was suprised that the colour they have is caused by the shrimp that they eat. Great photo, love the reflections.

Love your photograph of The pink Flamingos on Lake Nakuru.Have put it in my favourites. I lived in Gilgil in 1961-64. It is between Naivasha and Nakuru .Went back for first time 2 years ago .Can’t believe how it’s changed.

Thanks Lilian, Africa is such a wonderful place. I try to go there every few years. Usually to Kenya and Uganda. I have so many friends there now that it feels like a second home. Who knows, I may eventually move there for good
