I am an artist living and working in beautiful Portland, Oregon.
I’ve always been attuned to the geography around me, and my work is a reflection of the mood and energy I derive from a sense of place. I love to explore with shapes – the curves of mountains and rivers, the density of clouds, the movement of limbs and leaves and hair.
I am drawn to the intensity of colors, and the medium often chooses me as I work to obtain the correct feel of a piece. I mainly work with gouache, but also create with oil pastel, pastel, and acrylic.
“with illusions of someday casting a golden light
no dress rehearsal, this is our life.”
