End of the World by

One of the most extreme environments in the world; summertime conditions on Denali can translate to hurricane force winds and temperatures of 40 degrees below zero. From bottom to top, Denali is also the tallest mountain in the world, with a vertical rise of 18,000 feet taking up to 1 month to climb.

This photo was taken of a climber at 17,000 feet, which offers one of the most dramatic views on earth. I summited Denali on June 7th 2009.

Taken with a Nikon D300 and Sigma Lens @ 300mm

Wow, this is glorious lastadventurer!!! Wow, I just wish I could experience this for myself! I am blown away!! Love this! :))

  • Thanks Vicki:) I hated myself during the climb for hauling my heavy camera up there but I knew the scenery and views would be worth it.
