Thanks Tariq! I don’t think it’d be wise to call any place in Afghanistan safe, but herat and Mazar are certainly better off than the rest of the country. I had a flight canceled out of Herat cause of a taliban rocket attack for example, and also heard of kidnappings in Mazar.
