The space in bed that was once yours
Will now be taken by eight paws

Give me your hand so I may travel towards you in safety
For without you I am lost

it leaves you battered and broken covered in gore
but you drag yourself upright screaming for more

we trusted you to lead us on
loathsome creatures now begone

Wide brown eyes that look at me
See many things that I don’t see

The truth deceived by words
becomes lost to the prose

Why do I miss you when you aren’t around

From the pit he crawls bruised and battered

the memory of her fragrant lips
reaches out and floods my mind

Your inner thoughts kept out of reach
Protecting all so dear to thee

Muscles creak and body aches
tendons taut and fingers shake

Lying alone in bed at night
warm and quiet away from light

just look behind the colored gloss
to find the truth you thought was lost.

Those gentle curves that drive you wild

The quest for time continues
souls battered in its wake

nourishing the dry and barren earth
restoring a tortured soul scarred by pain

Think your smart
Think you’re clever
Yea ok, whatever

She brings me joy and sorrow
She brings me life and love

She is a shining light
I absorb her into my skin

The Child Born this day Spreads his spirit with yours
