Smoky Sunset by Larry Hartshorn

Smoky Sunset by

A forest fire in the Rocky Mountains near Loveland, Colorado provides this sunset with the dirty reddish hues as the sun permeates the smoke.

The shot follows tracks of the Great Western Railway through the heart of town.

shame about the reason why – but its great light

  • Thanks Jules.. smoke from fires are great for sunset light.. true that it’s sad. I think six homes were lost. A few miles further south near Boulder, CO.. the “Four Mile Fire” around 160 homes and buildings were lost.

Superbly executed Larry, very atmospheric and makes one think about the natural disasters which have been occurring worldwide this year.
