Near Mount Gibbo, in the Victorian High Country there are the silver trunks of millions of dead trees, killed years ago in the great fires that raged over the mountains. They exist above the winter snowline and year after year are bleached by wind and snow.

Some are showing signs of re-growth, a tribute to the resilience of the Eucalypt species.
