Flying Tigers was the popular name of the 1st American Volunteer Group (AVG) of the Chinese Air Force in 1941-1942.
The Tigers’ P40 shark-faced fighters remain among the most recognizable of any individual combat aircraft of World War II

Originally from Philadelphia, I currently live in NJ. Now retired, I once worked in the commercial printing industry for 47 years as a pressman, shop foreman and plant manager as well as being a wedding & portrait photographer on weekends. I now enjoy traveling which allows me the time for taking photos that turn into beautiful memories. Although I love to take photos of my travels there are beautiful places, and wonderful things to photograph right here in our own communities.
