a private happiness

i’m looking for the getaway
i want to show you this magick
your youth makes it so
my vigor makes you bend
i am a single blade razor dragged across your
infinite
i am a ticking clock
pacing you
keeping pace
my tongue touches the ceiling
and we are here again
speak to me with swollen thoughts
speak louder and it will run
through the vein
through the center
into the basin
and out again
we’re tipped and falling
i removed the coarseness
so you could feel the blood
now face to warmth
we miss nothing
your hair is tight in my fist
we miss nothing
the voters are in bed
the workers are asleep
i pull again clenching teeth
clenching parts
its taken years to master
i think of unions and their climb
as we climb
i think of toenails painted
giggles and burning green
laughter and burning orange
the deep blue in tears at release
and the red of the throb when we let go
sitting back
facing up and gasping
huffing the scent of hair matted
and smooth cotton burned flesh
another kiss to exposed parts
and it begins slowly ,
lazily, then with
unspoken urgency
like a spider to fly
teeth in
venom held
the struggle is where its at
the arm lock
then more pressure as i feel limbs make my lungs smaller
threatening harm
hands to throat
fingers across teeth
tongue to the top
then bottom
linger, harder
hold
i love you in the morning
