This photo featured in this was taken by my father in World War 2 in Syria where there is now so much bad things happening again.. Even in times of War our Aussie Lads found time to make fun and forget the horrors happening around them , even for just a few short hours. I have one also of the boys sleding in the snow.. that dad took.. this really touched me and showed me that optimism can exist in the bleakest of circumstances..and that God is always with us to share the good and the bad

Adore nature in all its myriad forms, a testament to the designer.. I never cease to be amazed at the wonder that surrounds us and am continually in awe as I see the photos that are display on this site of each persons views of this grand world we inhabit… I am a retired nurse and enjoying just being able to take time to smell the flowers so to speak..

  • Hi Karen, so pleased this is featured in Living Christianity… it seems like Syria is in the same turmoil it was when my father was there in World War11 seems we never learn from our mistakes…
