How beautifully done and the lamb is clean….......which one doesn’t usually see. There are some wonderful metaphors for this glorious image. Great capture Lance. Funny how something relatively ordinary can produce a great image given the right lighting, juxtapostion of surrounding elements and comp. That sneak-peek of background to the left of the image really helps to ‘anchor’ this image too. Classy work mate.

In a previous life I was (theoretically) a Catholic, and I recall that the Lamb of God is a recurring theme in discussions of redemption and salvation. I presume that the image is based on notions of sacrifice, beauty and purity. Although I now hold no brief for the religious connotations, I have to say that this image is the closest to a perfect representation of this traditional Christian concept.
Sorry for this diversion into theology – it’s not like me!!!

What a lovely image this is and the shelter is so significant and moving. I have an artwork of a Collie dog crying to the sky for someone to come and bring the little lamb home from the snowy winter storm. I have had it in my family for nearly my whole life. This capture is just so perfect with the roots of the tree creating a safe nest, I cannot help but be enchanted and comforted by seeing this. An instant favorite for me.
