Lovely capture. I saw an report on this building recently – one of the few skyscrapers (which are usually very masculine) to be designed by a female architect. Some of the irregularities are apparently designed to help stop birds from flying into the glass.

  • Dragan Petrovic replied

Thanks. I didn’t know that it was designed by a woman. Its sculpture-like appearance definitely makes it unique. Solving practical problem (birds) while achieving artistic effect is clever. Perhaps it could be used in books on solving engineering problems using TRIZ method as an example!?

Fantastic capture – the repeated variations of the curvy extensions remind me of the form-work of my model boat under construction. I wonder what your building would look like if one were able to view it with a skin stretched over the ‘form-work’?

    tHAT’S AN INTERESTING THOUGHT!
