A fisherman returns home somewhere in the Kerala backwaters. The canoe is a traditional construction of twine-stitched tarred planks. I too was passing by in a similar canoe. I still remember the silent hello. (India)

Love the angle! What is on the side of the canoe: writings/carvings?
Hi, Baina. What we see on the sides of the canoe is the stitching. Not one nail or peg used in the making. Canoes as they were made 2000 years ago. Thanks
