Thanks, Akash for your emotional response to this capture ;-)
Thanks, Miron …this is part of a series I’m building up of butcher shops (as I’m traveling) :-)
I went to fave this one because of its meaning and symbolism… but i don’t ever want to see it again! ;) I have been a vegetarian from the age of 5, the only one in my family. To say I have copped flack for it would be an understatement, but when i see works like this depicting the daily death and cruelty that is on our plates, it reminds me why I took a stand when I did. Thanks Miguel
You are so right. I understand your reaction. I am not a vegetarian but working my way there. But I can console myself in thinking that this hen did not die in vain…that as a photo this poor animal makes a statement. Thanks so much for your thoughts.
As a owner of a few pet hens and a vegetarian since birth, I find this rather disturbing. There are plenty of cruelty-free foods out there. One doesn’t need to eat meat of any kind in order to be healthy!
Hi, this is what this image is all about…showing the absurd cruelty…and making one think of alternatives…thanks for dropping by and leaving your thoughts.
A haunting shot and one that unfortunately will affect few. Animal cruelty is so interlinked with meat eating that many accept it unblinkingly. Thank you for posting this – as a long term vegetarian it’s good to see others with similar views.
Hi, Roger…sorry for the belated reply…I’m traveling through India and I don’t have access to internet as I would like to to keep up with RedBubble. I appreciate your thoughts on this, I agree, disturbing photo.
Makes my heart bleed…this piece is very emotional for me, Rekha ):
I understand your reaction, Rekha.
