Treadmill Time

The title kinda describes it all…my family and friends have been here for me telling me im beautiful but I still hold this man the closest to my heart “gold” even though he isn’t deserving of the position.

Treadmill Time belongs to the following groups:

! Creative Writing & Poetry !, All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical, The Healing Journey and WMG

They tell me “put your hair up
so we can see your face”
I just sit there listening
counting down the days
and while the world’s in motion
I just stay in place

Cause’ the one that matters most to me
doesn’t notice I’m around
We could talk for hours
but he wouldn’t know I’ve drowned
I love him for the comfort
and I know how bad that sounds

So I just sit and analyze
all the things I should have done
The words I should have said
that won’t come off my tounge
and as I sit in self torture
I bet you’re having fun

I imagine it must be nice
to hold a heart in your hand
Making my stomach twist
with a simple command
I once was a strong girl
and this is not what I had planned
