Have you seen the Gingerbread Man? ROFL....... A Kindegarten Class Project.

Hi Red Bubble World!!! My friend Katrina has the cutest little redheaded bundle of energy named Cayson, who is now 5 years old, and has just started school…so he is a real big boy. He has his first class project, and when Katrina told me about it…I thought WOW! I bet WE can help this class find that old Gingerbread man! So, If you have the time, and inclination, think about how much fun it will be for these little darlings to get REAL mail from all over the world with notes of where that little cookie is visiting…if you spot him running through Wales, or Ireland, England, Holland, Germany, Australia, anywhere…...Please drop a note to these youngsters….And THANK you so much!

Oh, and if Colorado, Florida, & Canada, etc! see him….well, please let us know!!!!!
Here is Katrina’s email to me…..

Hey!

Here is more information regarding the project for Cayson’s class. The letter we received from his teacher says that after the class finished reading The Gingerbread Man, they went in search of him, but he got away by jumping on the back of the FedEx truck and is taveling all over the US and world. SHe as requested that if we knew anyone that lived in other areas or countries, it would be so great for them to send letters to the class about where they had spotted the Gingerbread Man. She suggested that the letter contain information about what they had seen the Gingerbread Man doing in their area – if they could send a postcard or a letter with a picure in it, it would really give the kids an exciting view of these far away places. They will be plotting his trek around the world on their class map.

If anyone can help us, it would be s great. The address for Cayson’s kindegarten class is:

Mrs. Wallace’s Class
Joyner Elementary
1201 Joyner Avenue
Tupelo, MS 38804

Tell all of your friends that this kindegarten class will be so excited. I am going to upload a picture of Cayson to your aol email for you to attach.

Love ya, friend…K

Katrina did send me pics of Cayson, but they’re bitmap, and I’m at work, so I can’t convert them…..but trust me…..He’s the perfect boy, redheaded and ready for mischief!!!!

If you’d like to see a bit about where Cayson & I are from, here are a few links to help you.

Im pretty positive I saw that gingerbread man, with quite a few friends in a local bakery the other day. Will have to go back there and see what they are up to. Its close to a local park, with a lovely pond with geese ans swans – so I bet that is their hangout. I will pop up there and see if I can get some photos of him – who knows, he may even be riding one of those geese!

  • Ginger Barritt replied

Oh, Julie….I knew you’d come through!!!! I appreciate it so much…. I know the kids will go nuts….THANK YOU!!!

  • Julie Langford

I will have to ask if he has been into the local school too. Wouldn’t it be cool if our school could write to Cayson and let him know what the gingerbread man got up to with the kids during his visit.

  • Ginger Barritt replied

Julie, the teacher would levitate….(is that how you spell that!!!???)

I will see what I can do with the school – cant make any promises wit hal the regulations they are bound by [especially regarding photographs], but I am hopeful that they can send a letter.

man it would be very easy to bring in the adventures of the gingerbread man vs the man who picks up hitchikers along dusty roads in the empty expanse of the aussie bushland. how he escaped by eating his arms off to get through the handcuffs, and rode the deadly Drop Bear back to the nearest bakery, where he used some damper on the fire to add new arms back. can i EMAIL you a letter with some random pic? you can print it out or something on their end. im terrible at writing with my hands and poorer than you would know….

  • Ginger Barritt replied

ROFL…..I don’t think we need to terrify the 5 year olds….LOL…so perhaps something a bit less…....nightmarish…hehehehe…you may send me whatever is your thought, an email from you would suffice!!!! I’ll send blessings your way reg the poverty, as I understand that completely….
