Ghost, Ball Lightning, Gas?

I’ve had a few unexplained things happen to me over the course of my 52 years.

A long long time ago, when I was young, I was…uh…parked at the edge of a wooded area…uh…talking…to my boyfriend. I was apparently talking about something very important, because as I recall I was sitting with my back against the drivers seat window, facing him. 1972 maybe, chevrolet malibu, blue, black vinyl top. As we were talking, from a distance I noticed a glowing light literally floating across the field behind us coming in a direct path to us. As it got closer, it looked like a bubble, glowing, not too brightly, but of it’s own accord. It was about a 12 inch circular bubble. I remember staring out the back window trying to make sense out of what I was seeing. The “bubble” floated to the car touched down on the trunk lightly, but did make a slight sound as it touched and then floated up and over the roof and into the wood. By this time my boyfriend, having seen the light reflected in my eyes, plus the look that I am sure was on my face, backed out of the wood and took off back to town. When we got to town, we stopped as quickly as possible, got out of the car and looked at the trunk…there was a clean circular clean spot on the trunk about 4 or 5 inches in diameter. Now, honestly, what was it?

LOL! You know, honestly I would really like to know what it was before I kick off! It was floating just like a bubble on a breeze…straight…not perfectly, just very lazily.

Lightning balls usually go very fast, faster than the speed of light and it would have burned your paintwork. We had one came through an open door and hit the Cooker, BAM. I think you were blessed with something spiritual (there are stranger things in heaven and earth than we can explain) maybe it was to stop you making a big mistake. haha. I have seen strange things which move in the sky making no noise, who knows UFOs? love and hugs xxx

Well, despite evidence to the contrary, I’m not crazy, I’ve never used drugs…it had to be something . I wish I could know if it was something spiritual or not. There have been other brushes with spirits, but this was visual…so who knows.

Great story. When the wife and I travel to historical cities like St. Augustine or Charleston, we usually reserve a night or two to go on ghost tours. It’s not that we believe we are going to see anything supernatural on the tour but it’s for the great stories you hear that no tour guide in their right mind would tell you. Although we have had a couple of weird things happen on these tours.

Well, although I’m sure you’ll find others who will disagree with me :) ..I do believe there is something to the ghost thing..what..I have no idea…but it does facinate me and I love to hear other peoples experiences.

Hi Ginger, Its sounds like you did have an expierence that was somewhat in the spirit realm. As said before a lightening ball is faster, not so purposely directional, and would burn the paint mark. if ti were a freak detergent bubble then the chances are that when it came in contact with the car it would have burst. There is a lot of documentation about glowing orbs, and it sounds like you may have just seen one.
Very interesting story, thanks for sharing it.

  • Ginger Barritt

Ginger Barritt in reply to Jane Blacket’s comment, about 1 month ago

Thanks, Jane…I know it was something...My son has seen one too, a few years back without knowing of mine…..when he described it, it was exactly the same.
