Crow Count Series.

As you can see there are 12 in this series, each piece represents a number of crows and their meaning. I was given a book awhile back called “Crows” by Heidi Holder. The book is a recreation of an old folklore passed down from her grandfather; sharing the meaning of crows and the number in which you just might see them. She shares the originally folklore was about Magpies.
In my area of the United States, upper north east of Illinois the crow population is starting to make a come back, it was hit hard with the West Nile disease a couple of years back. What is funny is the rabbit population has grown terribly, the balance is a little off. My personal passion of the crow has grown considerable over the years too. I look to them for guidance, I can tell by their caws when there is something to be alerted about or when they may be calling for a social gathering. I don’t understand their language but I can relate to it. The crows come back has made me more in tune to their environment. I’ve created this series for the viewer to make their own personal connection to the numbers and the crows they see. I look upon it as a daily guidance alerting me of changes that I might need to make.
