Falls on the Kanawha River in Fayette County, located about two miles below the western terminus of the New River Gorge.

On the south side of the Kanawha River, at Kanawha Falls, is Van Bibbers Rock, a large boulder from which Reuben Van Bibbers leaped into the waters of the river to escape from Native Americans pursuing him.

A small park owned by the West Virginia DNR just below the Kanawha Falls is located 2.5 downstream of Gauley Bridge, WV. The park is public fishing area, with the following facilitites: concrete 1-lane boat ramp; parking area (35 spaces); Portajohn; potable water; handicap fishing; and handicap parking.
