I am an avid collector of postcards and cannot travel anywhere without buying a bunch of them. They are little works of art, easily portable or shoved in a mirror frame to bring a smile as you remember the place you bought it. Or perhaps someone mailed it to you with an uplifting message. Maybe it has a meaningful image on the front, or a joke, or an inspirational saying. Postcards are little harbingers of joy, I think, in a world that is sometimes harsh or grey.
I’m aware that I’m probably supposed to tell you all about myself and my work and instead I’ve jaffed off about postcards but I love the fact that my images can be used to create these brief, almost ephemeral messengers and I care not one jot.
