Taken on a Canon 5D MKII fitted with a Canon 100mm f/2.8 IS in natural/ambient light.

Location Wodonga, Victoria, Australia.

Eyes that have witnessed what most don’t want to see, what we close our eyes tight to shut out are the memories that they see when they close their eyes to forget …..Our soldiers continue to fight long after they have returned home, they fight the system, themselves and for others not as fortunate as they were.

Remember not only our fallen that were left behind in numerous battles but remember those that came home with scars seen and unseen……to thank a soldier you don’t have to agree with the battles they saw, to support them in the battles they still fight.

Nothing wrong with the words you have used Kym… they go with the image so well… makes it a very emotional portrait…

  • Thanks Vicki, been a long day and Im doing a series like this so it’s been hard finding the words to match …time for sleep …. soon….maybe.

    I have lens envy… xoxox

  • Cheers Marg …. had a hard time actually shooting this one as the framing went against everyting I normally do, but I wanted it to not look “right” to reflect that what we do as and to our fellow humans is at times not “right” ….. lol lens envy happens to us all, but always remember that a lens is just a fancy piece of glass without the person who knows how to use it xox
