She would visit my bird feeder every evening for weeks, I decided I better catch her in the act. She had 5 little ones in tow one night.
I love many forms of art. I am a nature photographer and love the being outdoors. My favorite subject matter is birds, but I’ll shoot anything I think makes a good photograph. It’s a horrible addiction :)
Oh. Larry, she’s adorable!!!!! They are pesky, little bandits though!!! :-)

Love this! had a pet raccoon as a kid!
thanks Ken, was it a good pet?
Larry, he (Rascal) was actually was a pretty good pet…and so funny. You know how they have to wash everything before they eat it? I remember giving him a piece of cotton candy one night after returning from a small carnival in our town. Watching him dip that in the water bowl and then try to figure out what to do with it was comical. Another time while taking out the trash when the rain had let up during a thunderstorm, I looked in his pen to see how he was doing. The lightning flashed and he was laying on his stomach with a paw over each eye as though scared. My dad found him, or actually he found my dad, while he was fishing. The raccoon, presumably orphaned was very small and trying to climb up my dad’s leg. Dad didn’t know what to do as it looked kinda scrawny and forlorn, so, he brought him home. Though he was no problem or nuisance whatsoever, a neighbor complained in our little town and we had to get rid of him…it was against some kind of ordinance. An uncle that lived in the country took him. Sure made me sad.
such a good story Ken, why cant people mind their own business? My neighbor had a pet squirrel, raised it from a baby, its mother was killed on the power lines. It was a great pet till it got about 2 yrs old. It decided one day it wanted to be free and climbed a tree, built a nest, and found a mate.
