The Spa
Ripon Spa Baths, built in 1904, where the rich would go and bathe, the swimming pool was built in the 40’s and it showed, it resembled an old air raid shelter built on the back with typical 40’s decor, green and cream, unfortunatly i didnt take my camera swimming with me.
The Spa belongs to the following groups:
United Kingdom Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints

A fabulous building ,I wonder what happened to the B , the facade must have been altered at some point. It looks great and I like the sepia effect too.
Dave Warren replied
Thanks irene, the B is still there you just cant see it from the angle it is taken from, it dosent look like it has been changed, it is a listed building now, the inside was gorgeous, really wish i had taken my camera with me the day we went swimming.

I bet it was you can see all the stained glass windows in the doorway. Ripon isn’t that far from here I don’t think , I shall have to put it on my list of places to visit.

Great work – bet that pool was cold too
Dave Warren replied
Surprisingly it was like steping into a hot spa, really really warm, it was beautiful. thanks Meach

I often think that HDR is just a fashion but here I think the treatment works great bringing out the detail of the terracotta , I don’t want to be cheeky but I’d like to see a square crop from the step to the top of the name
Dave Warren replied
Thanks, I may put one up later.
