Okzhetpes is a rock outcrop near Lake Boroboe in North Kazakhstan. Legend says that a captive Oirat woman claimed she would marry the man who could shoot an arrow to the top. All failed the first time, so the name of the place translates as “Place Where Arrows Cannot Reach”.
I thought this was a nice woods scene with the high noon winter light fading out the trees, and giving such sharp outlines of the rocks.
