Compact Group Challenge
A note of thanks to those who voted for my entry into the “Reflections” challenge, which resulted in a Third in the top ten. I think that is one of my favourite photographs, and I have never been able to do as well with my bridge cameras and my DSLR.

It just goes to show (as do most of the Compact group shots) what can be produced with a point and shooter. I really regret having sold that one and am now in the market for another similar :)

Wonderful image and congratulations Sue. See it all comes down to the artist and not the camera sometimes. I must admit I am blown away sometimes at what a point and shoot camera can produce, they have come such a long way with the technology and they are so convenient.

Thanks, Bev, its starting to make me realise that sensors aren’t everything (although the bigger they are, the better the pic, esp in low light). I think I need to spend less time pixel peeping and more time just taking the shot with whatever is on hand at the time.

Congratulations Susie, it is still a great shot. The camera buff that is going to borneo is taking 2 bridge point and shoot instead of his SLR so that says heaps. I will find out which ones he is taking and let u know

Thanks, Anna :) Yeah let me know which bridge cam he takes. I’d almost bet on an FZ28 as one.
