Head upturned toward the heavens
beneath the sun
spirit unfurls
eyes shut tight to mask the brightness
whirling twirling little girl

casting dreams across the meadow
mirrored in a nearby pond
watch the rocks skip cross the water
and with a jump
the image
GONE

Time, it shifts to one much older
Eyes turn up to see the light
peering through the depths of water
new structures form the meadows plight

Time it changed all that surrounds her
still it fails to change the girl
she beacons for her son to follow
into the sun
explore…
unfurl

never swayed by lack of vision
only by the gentle breeze
revisiting magical moments of innocense
whirling, twirling, unfurling
FREEZE

pause to catch your breath a moment
giggling upon the grass
Time has jumped much farther now
HE watches as his daughter flits past

Head upturned toward the heavens
beneath the sun
spirit unfurls
eyes shut tight to mask the brightness
whirling twirling little girl
