love the fence in this one kym and the softness of the imagecheers
Infrared is very interesting. This looks a little flat so I may re upload but they do have a dreamlike effect and softness to them
– Kym Howard
Lovely effect !!
Thanks These come out Magenta in the camera as they are Infrared. I can alter them in camera and I changed the settings here to BW so all I had to do was crop and tweak contrast.
Awesome capture Kim!
Thanks Monte I love Infrared
Thank you Shelly
Lovely shot, Kym. If you’re concerned with the magenta results as shot, you may be able to prevent it by switching to Custom WB. I got the same results on AWB with the converted 10D until I switched to shoot Custom.
Thanks Peter sometimes I set a custom and take a reading from the grass. On this occasion I was lazy as we were just passing, I didn’t even get the tripod out (naughty) This cottage is near my farm and I always stop I have many images of the different seasons. I even tried a sepia Infrared at the next stop which I will upload in a minute.
This is beautiful Kym..I really love this!!
I love Infrared have taken any for a while but decided to last weekend Thanks again
Brilliant winter scene!
Height of Summer but Infrared makes foliage (grass/Trees) look like snow. I took this last Sunday and it was as green as green can be
Thanks for your comment
Well captured Kym, like the effect the IR has on the trees…reminds me of the old silver xmas trees. Excellent composition and awesome subject.
Sorry for the late reply I have been assisting and teaching a new photographer today feeling humbled that someone values my knowledge. Love IR and haven’t taken many of late will start carrying the extra camera again
Kym I just love this image…. the softness in the background, the trees, grasslands around the homestead is beautiful with the broken picket fence, I can’t help but wonder who lived there, echo’s of the past… beautiful
John (Hubby) and I often say that someone probably raised a family of ten in these two rooms……LOL This is just near my little farm and I always stop when I pass. It is really funny we have a nice home but we love being at the farm in our little cabin with no electricity….. a bit like this old relic when life was ever so simple.
