"Crowess"

"Crowess" by Kym Breeze

"Crowess"

Acrylic on wide edge canvas, 76×102 cm.
Pthalo Green, white and black, unfortunately my computer editing skills let me down with the true colour.
Created in one morning, 4hours work, with detailing later in the day.

I laid the background colour down and used a large house painting brush to create a blended effect, and whilst the paint was still wet(thank goodness for cooler weather) I used a mix of black and medium, with a soft long bristled flexible brush to squiggle the black through the back ground, then using the dry house painting brush in a criss cross motion slightly smudged the black into the green, from there I created lines to form the nude, I had in my mind I wanted her to be deep and slightly dark, and after a recent road trip with work, on which I saw plenty of crows, the name and theme came to me. Yet the story was not finished with this so I added the crow and the moon, and her yellow crow eye,
To me she is all woman, with an edge of mystery, she was created from my imagination, yet maybe she is part of everyone.

Look forward to your feed back and my apologies for not being around much, my children, my work, at this point in time are top priorities, I do check in on you all, yet have limited time to comment, so know that I am watching, much like Crowess…..hugs to all

The original is going into the Downlands Art Exhibition coming up in July and is for sale. contact me at kym1art@gmail.com if you are interested. $1,200.

Oh my Kym, I don’t even know where to begin! I will cut through the chase and just say that your female forms are best described as pure perfection! No one does the female form better than you! The gaze you always give your ladies is always mesmerizing! I love the color you used on this piece! The crow flying in front of the moon is a very nice touch that really adds to this! I stand and salute you my dear! Bravo!!!
