This island off the south coast of Ireland is nicknamed The Sleeping Giant due its shape on the horizon – it really does look like a giant sleeping!! Spotted it on a cycling trip along Slee Head Drive around Dingle Bay the day after donning very thick wetsuits and swimming out into Dingle Bay to find ‘Funghi’ the dolphin. Found him! and yes although it was the middle of summer, it was cold as was the windy but incredibly scenic cycle around Dingle Bay. So, we warmed up with an Irish stew and a pint of guiness at the local watering hole, to the acoustic tunes of a local Irish band!!
