Water to Share in Siena

In a time of drought and with the threat of Global Warming influencing our everyday living, it is a refreshing feeling to view a scene where nature takes back from our impact on the earth.

This photo was taken in the quaint little Tuscan town of Siena in Italy. The fountain is in the Campo opposite the Torre. The campo, so called because it used to be a field before it was paved over, is at the top of the hilltop town of Siena, which reaches higher still when you scale the Tower. You will have spectacular views of the antique buildings and the lush green fields of Tuscany beyond the city wall.

Amazing how you managed to get his one

  • Kymbo replied

Yeah it is. Patients is a virtue!! However, have waited a lot longer for other shots. There are more pigeons in the campo, than there are birds flying past a tall mirrored building on the lower east side of Manhatten. I remember how long I waited for that shot every time I look at the image in my living room. Unfortunately it’s not digitalised, so I can’t show you that one!
