Woman holding her head
I envy artists that are not afraid to use colour and I am one artist that likes to use neutrals…so with this one, in the figure I used green (green with envy) and some yellow (I’m scared yella). I loved the pose and generally it worked.

...I remember once reading a quote from Vincent Van Gogh’s letter to Theo …and as you’d know he started also with only neutral colours ….. in the letter he writes about how he realised that using all the bright hues instead of neutral ones does not alter the design much … only the colours are intense … well that’s my re-interpretation of that quote … I like this image ..it is on a good way … and that detail of the right hand is very beautifully done :)

Thank you Anna…...i still like my neutrals but it does make you think outside the square…..we should always experiment…that is how we learn about how and who we can be…:)

Well, I like it…only it isnt peaceful to me, as an experience. She makes me think of a headache. Note, she doesnt give me a headache, it just reminds me of having one! But applause for being bold!

Well,, for me she so tells the world what I feel right now,, not to bring anyone down,, not my intention,, a woman’s work is never done,, children grow up but never leave home,, age hits,,and we struggle too find that happy place we used to balance when the little ones where with us.. our body changes more than a man can ever know our understand,, so for me,,, 54 ,, mom, grandma, wife, sister, daughter, this is a very powerful piece for me,, and the colors say it all,,if you painted me or this in neutral,, it would be what everyone sees everyday in me,, its the colors that speak,, no one knows the pain.// POWERFUL PIECE FOR ME…....................linmarie
