It is impossible to capture the aura and essence that is Pelhourino, located in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil. The colorful colonial architecture, the midnight music concerts, the crowds and the market, the church laden streets – all of this make for an amazingly rich experience. As we returned back to our pousada late in the evening, we stopped by to visit yet another nearby church and chanced upon this meditative little nook.

Hi Kuntal, I lived in Salvador and breathed the Pelourinho for a good 8 months. This really captures the other tranquil side, that is rare but beautiful.
