I’m a Finnish- American living in Colorado. My photos are either nature related or something to do with indigenous people, mostly Sami people from Finnish Lapland where I have my original home. I grew up at the time when most houses in Lapland didn’t have plumbing or electricity and most families still lived nomadic life with old traditions. Today, almost everyone lives in modern house, reindeer herding is done by 4-wheelers or snowmobiles, depending on weather, but the culture is still living strong!
