Cornsnake

I’m not real certain what this snake is called. It was not venomous but aroused very easy. The display in the image was a result of my brother tempting the snake with a stick as I shot the images. The locals call this a HOG SNAKE but I find no reference to a HOG SNAKE in any search I have ran to attempt to find the true name of this particular breed of snake.

I found this:
Corn snakes(elaphe guttata guttata) come in over 50 different colors(morphs) and make excellent pets and have quite a long life span around 15-20yrs this is one point that you the keeper should keep in mind as your snake will and hopefully will be around for a long time. They come from a wide area of the U.S. and can be found in Texas to the Florida keys, they normally live in abandoned out buildings and farms but no snake should be taken from the wild look for a good breeder or pet store to get your snake.
