Boy meets girl in the age of social networking
A little story based on the exploits of a young acquaintance of mine. It’s not terrible or anything but it still makes me feel blessed that I came of age before the proliferation of things like facebook and myspace. I actually got to retain a bit of innocence in my childhood.
Girl meets boy
Boy decides he likes girl
Girl begins to flirt with boy
Boy spends all night kissing girl
Girl hops on facebook and adds boy
Boy instantly accepts friend request from girl
Girl looks at boy’s page and sees that he has a girlfriend
Girlfriend checks boys page and wonders at the addition of another girl
Girl sits back in astonishment and wonders at the absolute shamelessness of boy
Boy sits back and thinks about how awesome he is for getting away with doing this to girls.
