Some new visitors to our garden to benefit from “Bailey’s Birdie Bistro and Spa” are a pair of Eurasian Jays (garrulus glandarius). These are one of my favourite British birds, and not commonly seen in suburban gardens. Jays are members of the crow family and are around the size of a large pigeon. From our varied menu, they seem to favour peanuts and bread and I’m working hard on the catering side to keep them visiting so I can get some decent shots (when we get some sunshine back!) Untidy background removed from this pic.
