Sailing past the famous and extremely picturesque Lemaire Channel into the Gerlache Strait, also known as Kodak Gap or Iceberg Alley for obvious reasons. Antarctic Peninsula. Didn’t we have great weather for this part of the trip?

  • Thank you Travis! It’s a cliche that photos can’t do some places justice and this is an example! ;o)

Wonderful landscape ! You were lucky with the weather, as our route had to be changed due to the amount of icebergs in Lemaire Channel, but we found a similar, dramatic passage to explore !

  • Thanks John! We certainly WERE lucky with the weather, although the sunny day here was only one of two really clear days (the other being at Saunders Island in the Falklands). After blizzards on Deception Island, we couldn’t believe our luck here! ;o)
